How To Make The 5 Senses Christmas Book:

To begin this activity, read books about Christmas.  Then, talk about things relating to the season with your children. Next, brainstorm a list of Christmas things and divide the list into categories for the five sense.

After creating a list, your kids will write one Christmas related thing for each sense.

Here are some possible things that they may write on each page:

  • I see…
    • Christmas lights
    • Christmas tree
    • Santa Claus

Writing Activity

  • I hear…
    • Jingle bells
    • Christmas music
    • Christmas carolers
  • I smell…
    • Fresh-cut Christmas tree
    • Gingerbread house
    • Christmas cookies baking
  • I taste…
    • Candy canes
    • Cookies
    • Eggnog
  • I feel…
    • Ornaments
    • Stockings
    • Wrapping paper

After writing their answers to the prompts, your kids will draw and color a picture for each Christmas related item. Then, your children can cut out the ornament on each page and staple all the pages together.

This 5 Senses Christmas Book is a fun way to incorporate everything that your kids experience during the holidays and teach them all about their senses.
