This barn letter recognition resource is a fun activity for your kids to color after reading the book, The Big Red Barn by Margaret Wise Brown or another farm themed read aloud.
To complete this alphabet activity, your kids will color the picture of the barn using the color code that spells HORSE. Your kids will find all of the capital letter H’s and color the spaces red. Next, they will color the spaces marked with a capital letter O with their blue crayon. Your kids will then color all of the spaces marked with a capital letter R with a brown crayon. There are just a few spaces with capital letter S’s that your children will color yellow. Finally, they will find all of the capital letter E’s and color the spaces with their green crayon.
This alphabet resource can be used as an independent activity for young children in any early childhood classroom or homeschool.
