I like to print my resources on white card stock, because it is more durable. But, you can use copy paper too. Next, laminate the mat or put it in reusable dry erase pocket.
For this activity, you can use Play-Doh or you can try making our Kool-Aid Play Dough. It’s a sensory-friendly recipe that smells so sweet and is soft to touch. Your kids will have so much fun making it too!

After reading a book about a butterfly’s life cycle such as My, Oh My–A Butterfly!: All About Butterflies by Tish Rabe, your kids will use play dough to create the egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, and butterfly.
