What You'll Find On This Page
Christmas Tree Letter Writing Mats:
Before kids can learn how to read, they need to be able to recognize the letters of the alphabet by their shape. Using letter mats like these holiday-themed ones are a fun way for pre-writers to learn and practice letter shapes and formation.
Using this writing activity will help your preschoolers work on using writing tools and their pencil grip too. Pre-writing activities like these are also a great way for kids to develop their fine motor skills, hand muscle strength, and more.
What Is Letter Recognition?
Letter recognition is the ability to recognize and name all of the lowercase and capital letters. Children who can recognize the letters of the alphabet can distinguish between them too.

When your kids reach the Christmas tree, they have finished writing the letter. Finally, your kids can trace the letters at the bottom of the mat for more letter formation practice.
