What Is Letter Recognition?
Before kids can learn how to read, they have to learn pre-reading skills including letter recognition. They need to recognize and name all of the lowercase and capital letters.
Children also need to be able to distinguish between the letters too. Hands-on activities like this one are an engaging way for them to learn and practice their letter recognition.

If your pre-readers are just starting to learn the names of the letters, start with just a few capital or lowercase letters. Once their letter knowledge, you can add more.
If your kids already know the names of the letters, they can practice saying the sounds that each letter makes as they feed the hungry dragon
