Are you looking for Earth Day writing activities for your kids? Then, get this free printable Earth Day Flip Book!
It is a creative way to get your kids to think and write about how they can help the Earth.
Using “I can” statements, your students will explain how they can reduce, reuse, and recycle.
Before beginning this activity, teach your children what reduce, reuse, and recycle mean. You can brainstorm ideas for each one.
As a class, you can brainstorm ideas for each one of the three R’s. You can also read books and watch videos for more ways to help the Earth.

Ways To Use The Earth Day Printable Book:
If you are using the black and white cover, your children will first color the picture.
Next, they will write how they can “reduce” on the first page and draw a picture to go along with their sentence.
For example, your kids may write “I can turn off the water when I brush my teeth.”
Then, they will write how they can “reuse” and “recycle” and draw pictures to illustrate their sentences.
After finishing their books, your students can share their ideas with the rest of the class.
How Can I Differentiate This Activity?
If your kids can’t write sentences yet, they can dictate to you what they want to say. They can then draw the pictures to go along with the sentences.
You can also use the word cards from the Earth Day Activities bundle to encourage your young writers to practice writing a few Earth Day words.
