As their letter knowledge increases, you can mix the capital and lowercase Easter eggs together and have them work on both. You can also have your pre-readers practice letter sounds.

To get this activity ready for your kids, click on the button below and fill out the form.
Then, download and print the Easter eggs and recording sheet that you want to use.
Next, laminate the Easter eggs so your kids can reuse this activity over and over.
Finally, cut eggs out and put them in plastic Easter eggs.
If you want to turn this into a sensory activity, fill an Easter basket or plastic container with green Easter grass or shredded paper. Then, put the plastic eggs in the basket.
For even more fun, you can hide the plastic Easter eggs around your classroom, playground, house, or yard and have your kids search for them.
How To Use The Easter Egg Letter Recognition Activity:
To begin this alphabet activity, your preschoolers will pick and open a plastic Easter egg.
They will then pull out the paper Easter egg from inside it and identify the capital or lowercase letter.
If you are using the lowercase or capital letter recording sheets, your children will color the letter they picked using dot markers or crayons.
If you are using the letter writing recording sheet with the blank circles, your kids will write a letter on each one.
This Easter Egg Letter Recognition Activity is a fun, hands-on way for pre-readers to practice identifying capital and lowercase letters!
