Make learning fun by adding this flower life cycle play dough mat and the flower parts play dough mat to your science unit about nature or living things.
Though sensory play, your kids can explore, investigate, and discover new things. This can help them develop critical thinking, problem solving, and many more important skills.
What Are The Benefits Of Playing With Play Dough?
Play dough is one of my favorite sensory play tools because your kids can use their senses as they squeeze, roll, and squish it with their hands.
It’s a fun way for kids to develop their fine motor skills and hand muscle strength too. These developmental skills are so important for pre-readers and pre-writers.

How To Use The Flower Life Cycle Play Dough Mat:
After reading a book like From Seed to Plant by Gail Gibbons and learning all about flowers, your kids will use play dough to create the life cycle.
First, your children will create the seed. You can talk to them about how to plant seeds and what flowers need to grow. Then, your kids will form the sprout out of play dough.
Next, your children will create the stem. You can talk about the length of time that different plants take to grow. You can also talk about how weather and climate affects a plant’s life cycle. Finally, your kids will use play dough to form the flower.
There are two different versions of the mat. One has the labels for the flower life cycle. On the other one, your children can write and label using a dry erase marker. There are also a set of four cards will each step of the life cycle.
This Flower Life Cycle Play Dough Mat is a fun way for your kids use their senses as they are learning all about the life cycle of a flower. It would be a great addition your science unit about nature or living things.
