What You'll Find On This Page
Fox Puppet:
Creating crafts like this one can be a fun way for kids to develop their hand and eye coordination, muscle strength, and other important developmental skills. It’s also a great way for kids to work on their listening comprehension and following multi-step directions.
Why Are Fine Motor Skills Important?
Young children use their fine motor skills everyday as they are learning to read and write. The development of the small muscles in the hands and fingers in coordination with the eyes is important so children can learn how to hold a pencil, turn pages in a book, and much more!

I like to print my resources on white card stock because it is durable, but you can use copy paper too.
How To Make A Fox Puppet:
After reading Fox in Socks by Dr. Seuss or your favorite story about a fox, you kids will begin making this puppet craft by coloring the fox if you are using the black and white template.
They will then cut all of the pieces out. You may want to have extra copies of the templates just in case your children need them.
Next, your kids will glue the large triangle or the fox’s head onto the oval which is the animal’s body. They will then glue the two small triangles on top of the large triangle for the fox’s ears.
After attaching the fox’s ears, your kids will glue the black circles on the point of the triangle of its nose. They will then glue its eyes in the center of the triangle.
Next, your kids will glue the two legs onto the fox’s body and attach the socks to the end of the legs. Finally, they will glue a craft stick to the back of the cat to create a puppet.
