Next, laminate the groundhog, suns, and clouds so your kids can use them over and over. Then, cut all the pieces out. Finally, tape or glue the groundhog onto a paper bag or cardboard box (such as a small tissue box) and cut out its mouth.
How To Use The Groundhog Letter Recognition Activity:
To begin using this alphabet activity, your preschoolers will select a sun or cloud and identify the letter on it as they feed it to the groundhog.
If your kids are just starting to learn the names of the letters, start with just a few suns and clouds. You can then add a couple more every time they play.
When your kids know all of the letter names, they can say the sound that each letter makes as they feed the sun or cloud to the groundhog. It’s easy to differentiate this activity for your kids!
