What Else Is Needed:

  • 1 Cup of Milk
  • 1/3 Cup of Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
  • 8 Cups of Snow
  • Sprinkles or Chocolate Syrup (optional)
  • Measuring Cups 
  • Measuring Spoons 
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Mixing Spoon

 

How To Make Snow Cream:

Before making the snow cream, you and your kids can read the printable book together. They can work on concepts of print, transition words, vocabulary, and more! 

 

How To Make Snow Ice Cream

 

To make this winter recipe, your kids add fresh, clean snow in a large mixing bowl. (Snow may contain pollutants so eat it at your own risk.) 

 

Snow Cream

 

After combining the ingredients together, add the milk, sugar, and vanilla and mix till it has the consistency of ice cream.

 

Snow Ice Cream

 

Finally, add sprinkles or chocolate syrup.  This is optional but ice cream is always better with sprinkles! 

 

After making and eating the snow cream, your kids can reread the book and color the pictures.
