How To Use The Letter A Worksheets for Kids:
There are 8 different worksheets included in this packet so your children will be learning and working on a variety of different skills.
Trace the Letter Aa– Your kids will trace the capital letter A and then practice writing it on their own. They will then trace the lowercase letter a and then practice writing it on their own. They can also color the picture of the apple.
If you are helping your children complete the worksheet, you can talk about how apple begins with the letter A and teach them the sounds that A makes.
Dot the Capital Letter A– For this activity, your preschoolers will use paint and a cotton swab to dot paint the capital letter A. They will then trace and write the capital letter A for even more letter formation practice.
Dot the Lowercase Letter a– Just like the capital letter A version, your kids will use paint and a cotton swab to dot paint the lowercase letter a. They will then trace and write the lowercase letter a.
Letter Aa Maze– Your preschoolers will start at the arrow at the top of the page and color all of the capital and lowercase A’s through the maze. They can also color the pictures of the ant, apple, and airplane.
Cut and Sort the Letter Aa– For this activity, your kids will cut out all of the letter A’s at the bottom of the page. They will then sort and glue all of the lowercase and capital letters in the correct boxes.
Find the Letter Aa– Your preschoolers will work on visual discrimination as they search for all the capital and lowercase letter A’s on this worksheet. They can dot the letters using a Bingo dauber or cross them out using crayons.
Color the Pictures– For this activity, your kids will color all of the pictures that begin with the letter A sound. There are pictures for both the short and long sounds.
Draw a Picture– For even more fun, your preschoolers will draw a picture of something that begins with the letter A.
