Letter B Books Craft

Did you see the Letter A Aquarium Craft that we shared last week? We are continuing our Letter of the Week series with the next letter of the alphabet- the letter B. When I think about words that begin with the letter B, the first one that comes to mind is BOOKS! So, we made this Letter B Books Craft for the second letter of the alphabet.

How To Make A Letter B Books Craft:

What’s Needed:

  • Letter B Template
  • Printer
  • Craft Foam
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Black Marker
  • Paper or Card Stock

How To Make:

To prepare for this activity, download the letter B template (click on the button below) and print it onto paper or card stock. Next, cut the letter B template out. If you are making these with a group of children, you may want to make a few letter templates. I usually make one or two per table so the students can share.

To begin the activity, your students will trace the letter B onto a piece of craft foam and cut it out.

After cutting out the letter B, your students will draw a rectangle for the book and spine onto a light colored piece of craft foam. As an option, they can draw the spine onto a darker shade of craft foam to give the book more dimension. Next, they will draw an oval for the pages onto white craft foam.

After cutting all of the pieces apart, your students will glue the parts of the book together. They will then glue the books onto the letter B.

Finally, your students can add details to the books including a title with a black marker or craft foam stickers.
