Not only is this letter craft a fun way for your preschoolers to learn letter recognition and develop their fine motor skills. But, it’s a creative sensory painting activity that they are sure to love!

This type of play is important so your children can work on developmental skills such as language and fine motor skills. Sensory play also lets your kids learn to explore, investigate, observe, experiment, and much more.

- Paint
- Paper Plate or Tray
- Toy Car
- Scissors
- Glue
- Pencil
To prepare this letter craft for your preschoolers, fill out the form below to get the craft templates in your inbox. After receiving the email, download and print either the capital or lowercase templates. I like to print my resources on white card stock because it is durable, but you can use copy paper too.
Next, pour a little bit of paint onto a paper plate or tray and spread it around. You can use just one color or let your kids explore mixing different colors.
How To Make The Letter C Car Craft:
To begin making this letter craft, your preschoolers will identify either the capital or lowercase letter C on their paper. They will the dip the wheels of their toy car into the paint on the paper plate.
Next, your kids will drive their car over their letter C so the paint on the wheels leave streaks. You can also place the paper and car into a cardboard box and have your kids tip the box side to side to paint the letter.
After the paint dries, your preschoolers will cut out the letter c and glue it onto the center of either the capital or lowercase paper. Finally, your kids will trace over the letter C’s at the bottom of the page.
