What Are Sensory Activities:

Sensory activities stimulate your children’s senses of touch, smell, taste, sight, and hearing. They also include movement and balance activities.

This type of play is important so your children can work on developmental skills such as language and fine motor skills. Sensory play also lets your kids learn to explore, investigate, observe, experiment, and much more.

Sensory Activity

To prepare this sensory activity, click on the button below. Then, download and print the printables on card stock or copy paper. I like to print my resources on card stock, because it is more durable. But, you can use copy paper too.

Next, laminate the cow and carrots so your kids can use this activity over and over. Then, cut out all of the pieces and glue the cow to a paper bag or cardboard box. After the glue dries, cut the mouth out.

To set-up the sensory bin, fill a plastic container with green shredded paper. You can also use green rice, noodles, sand, or any other filler. Finally, put the carrots in the sensory bin.

How To Use The Letter C Sensory Bin:

To begin this sensory activity, your kids will pick a carrot out of the sensory bin and identify the letter on it. They can say determine if it is a lowercase or capital letter.

Letter Recognition Activity

If the letter on the carrot is a capital or lowercase letter C, they will feed the carrot to the cow. They will continue feeding the cow until he has eaten all of the letter C carrots.

This Letter C Sensory Bin is a hands-on letter recognition activity and fun way to add more sensory play into your day.
