Letter G Groundhog Craft:
Not only is this letter craft a fun letter recognition activity, but creating projects like this can be a fun way for kids to develop their fine motor skills, hand and eye coordination, muscle strength, and much more.
Why Are Fine Motor Skills Important?
From holding a pencil to turning the pages in a book, kids use their fine motor skills as they are learning to read and write.
The development of the small muscles in the hands and fingers in coordination with the eyes is important in not only children’s learning but also in their everyday life.

How To Make The Letter G Groundhog Craft:
If you are using the black and white templates, your preschoolers can color the capital letter G and all of the circles brown. They can then color the nose black.
After coloring the templates, your kids will cut out the letter G, ears, nose, whiskers, teeth, and eyes. For children who need help using scissors, you can have them practice cutting the letter (having extra copies is always helpful) and then cut out the other pieces for them.
If you want to use construction paper to create your craft, your kids can trace the templates on the brown and black colored paper and then cut all of the pieces out.
Finally, your preschoolers will glue the ears, nose, whiskers, teeth, and eyes on the letter. If the whiskers are too small for your kids to cut out and glue, they can draw them on with a black marker.
This Letter G Groundhog Craft is a creative letter recognition activity for your preschoolers to create when they are learning all about the capital letter G.
