Love Monster Puppet Craft:
Creating crafts can be an excellent way for kids to practice developmental skills such as cutting and gluing. Through these activities, children will develop their fine motor skills, hand and eye coordination, and much more.
Activities like this one will also help your young learners work on their listening comprehension and following multi-step directions.
What Are Fine Motor Skills?
Fine motor skills are things that children do that involve the coordination between small muscles, like those of the hands and fingers, with their eyes. From holding a pencil to turning the pages in a book, kids use their fine motor skills as they are learning to read and write.

To begin making this puppet craft, your kids will color the templates. To save time, you can print the templates on colored card stock.
Next, your children will cut out the templates. If they are just learning how to use scissors, you may want to have extra copies of the smaller pieces.
After cutting out the templates, your kids will glue eyes and mouth onto the monster’s face. (If you are printed the templates on colored paper) They will then glue the heart onto the body.
Finally, your children will glue the monster’s head and body onto the paper bag. As an option, you can use a chalk marker to add detail to the heart too.
