- 12 Months of the Year Cards
What Else Is Needed:
- White Card Stock or Copy Paper
- Laminator and Laminating Pouches
- Magnetic Tape
- Scissors
- Magnetic Letters
- Magnetic Board or Cookie Sheet
- Dry Erase Markers
To prepare this word work activity, click on the button below and fill out the form. Then, download and print the mat and cards on white card stock.
Next, laminate the mat and cards so your kids can use this activity over and over. After laminating the cards, cut them apart.
Then, cut 12 pieces (about an inch long) of magnetic tape and attach a piece to the back of each card.
How To Use The Magnetic Letter Months of the Year Activity:
To begin using this word work activity, your kids will place the mat on a magnetic board or cookie sheet.
Next, they will select a month of the year card, read the word, and place it in the first box on the mat.
After reading the month, your kids will use magnetic letters to spell the word in the middle box on the mat.
They will then use a dry erase marker to write the month on the line in the final box on the mat.
