To begin using this tracing activity, your pre-writers will use crayons or markers to trace over the lines.

They can use several different colors to create different patterns on the mittens.  

Your students can cover the lines with play dough, glitter glue, or paint pens. Just like with the crayons or markers, they can use several different colors. 

If you laminate the worksheets or place them in dry erase pockets, your kids can use a dry erase marker to trace over the lines too.
