  • White Card Stock or Copy Paper
  • Crayons
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black Marker

Writing Activity for Kids

To get this craft ready for your kids to create, fill out the form at the bottom of this page.

Next, download and print either the black and white or color templates.

Then, make copies of the templates and gather the supplies for each one of your children.

How To Make The Mother’s Day Flower Craft:

To begin making this craft, your kids will cut out the center of the flower, petals, stem, and leaves.

They will then glue the petals around the center of the flower.

Next, your children will glue the stem to the back of the flower and attach the leaves to the bottom of the stem.

Then, your kids will write the reasons why they love their mom, grandma, or someone special on the flower petals with a black marker.

I suggest they use a black marker so their writing isn’t covered when they color the petals.

If you are using the black and white template, your children can color all the parts of the flower.

Can This Craft Be Made Into A Card?

If you want to turn this craft into a card, print either the black and white or color templates on one sheet of paper. You can search “how to print multiple pages per sheet in Adobe” to find directions for your version. 

Next, your kids can fold a piece of construction paper or card stock in half and glue the flower to the front. They can then write all of the reasons why they love their mom on the inside of the card.
