What Is Letter Recognition?

Letter recognition is the ability to recognize and name all of the lowercase and capital letters. In addition, kids who can recognize the letters of the alphabet can also distinguish between them too.

To prepare this book for your preschoolers, click on the button below to download and print the printable. You can then make as many copies as you need for your kids.

 

To turn this printable into a book, fold the piece of paper in half. Then, fold the piece of paper in half again to create a little book. 

 

How To Use The My Letter C Book:

To begin using this printable book, your preschoolers will identify the capital and lowercase letter C on the cover. Your kids can read the title of the book, write their name on the cover, and color the letter C’s.  

 

 

On the first page of their book, your kids will trace the capital and lowercase letter C’s. They will then trace the word “cat” and color the picture of the animal. 

 

 

On the next page of their book, your preschoolers will find all of the lowercase c’s and color them purple. They will then spot all of the capital letter C’s and color them green. 

 

 

On the final page of their book, your kids will find all of the pictures that begin with the C sound and color them.
