Besides the holidays that we all know and love, did you know that there are other special days to celebrate throughout the year? I love to use these days to create fun mini units, morning baskets, or strews. I have National Bird Day Strewing Ideas for my little scientist that I know he’ll love. Hope your little ones enjoy these too!
National Bird Day Strewing Ideas:
What Is National Bird Day?
National Bird Day is January 5th annually. People celebrate our feathered friends by spending time bird-watching, studying birds, or adopting birds. The Avian Welfare Coalition uses this day to encourage people to support wild bird habitat conservation programs and captive bird rescue organizations and sanctuaries.
What Is Strewing?
Strewing is leaving books, games, activities, and more in an area in your house where your children are going to discover and explore on their own. They will inquire, investigate, and learn more about a topic such as birds. Strewing is a simple and fun way to add more topics in your homeschool and celebrate special days.
