What Are Sight Words?
There are two different types of sight words. First, there are words that don’t follow the phonics “rules” so kids need to memorize them.
There are also words that are frequently used in writing so it is easier for children to remember them. That way, they can build fluency and don’t have to sound them out every time they are reading.

How To Use The Panda Sight Words Activity:
To use this high-frequency word activity, your kids will select a bamboo card. As they feed the panda the bamboo, your children will read the word.
If your kids are just starting to learn these words, only give them about five cards to begin with and then add a couple of words at a time.
For children who know most of these sight words, challenge them to use the word in a sentence. It’s easy to differentiate this activity for your kids!
