How To Make The Paper Bag Penguin Craft:
Before making this paper bag craft, read your favorite book about penguins. I like to read If You Were A Penguin by Florence Minor, but you can choose any fiction or non-fiction book.
After reading a penguin book, cut out all of the parts of the penguin. Next, glue the penguin’s flippers on the white paper bag, one on each side.
Then, glue the top of the penguin’s head, eyes, and beak on the top of the paper bag.
Finally, glue the penguin’s feet on the bottom of the paper bag. You may want to slightly tuck them under the penguin’s flippers.
After creating this penguin craft, your kids can use their puppets to pretend that they are the flightless bird. If you read the book If You Were A Penguin, your children can share what they would do if they were a penguin. If you read a non-fiction book, they can share one fact that they learn about the winter weather animal.
This Paper Bag Penguin Craft is a simple project for your kids to create after reading their favorite penguin book. It is so easy for kids of all ages to make and would be a great addition to a penguin unit too.
