Pets Play Dough & Letter Mats:
After creating the pets play dough picture, your kids will work on their letter recognition by practicing formation and writing.
As as your kids squeeze, roll, and squish the play dough, they will also develop their dexterity, fine motor skills, hand muscle strength and more. These skills are so important for pre-writers!
This multi-sensory resource can be used as an independent activity for young children in any early childhood classroom or homeschool.
If you are a classroom teacher, these mats can used for literacy centers, morning tubs, or as an enrichment activity. For homeschoolers, try strewing this activity or include it in your morning basket.
What Is Letter Recognition?
Letter recognition is is the ability to recognize and name all of the lowercase and capital letters. In addition, kids who can recognize the letters of the alphabet can also distinguish between them too.
Using hands-on activities is fun for kids who are learning to identify capital and lowercase letters!
