Why Are Fine Motor Skills Important?

The development of the small muscles in the hands and fingers in coordination with the eyes is important in not only children’s learning but also in their everyday life.

How To Make The Pom Pom Christmas Tree Ornament:
To begin making this Christmas craft, your kids will glue two craft sticks together at the top to form a “V.” The points should be about three inches apart.
Next, they will glue a third stick to run vertically down the middle and allow the glue to dry completely. You can add extra craft sticks if needed.
While the glue is drying, your children will paint the star. After it dries, they will glue it onto the point of the “V” where the two craft sticks are glued together.
After the glue dries, your kids will glue the pom poms to the craft sticks. It is best to work from the top to the bottom or the bottom to the top.
Then, your children will glue your mini multi-colored pom poms onto the tree as your ornaments.
While the glue dries, your kids will cut a length of ribbon or twine approximately that is about 7 to 8 inches long. They will then fold it in half to form a loop and tie the ends together. They will then glue it to the back of their tree.
After the glue dries, your kids can hang their ornament on the tree!
This Pom Pom Christmas Tree Ornament is an easy and creative craft for kids to create for the upcoming holidays!
