Why Are Fine Motor Skills Important?

From holding a pencil to turning the pages in a book, kids use their fine motor skills as they are learning to read and write.

The development of the small muscles in the hands and fingers in coordination with the eyes is important in not only children’s learning but also in their everyday life.

While the glue is drying, your children will paint the star. After it dries, they will glue it onto the point of the “V” where the two craft sticks are glued together.

While the glue dries, your kids will cut a length of ribbon or twine approximately that is about  7 to 8 inches long. They will then fold it in half to form a loop and tie the ends together. They will then glue it to the back of their tree.
