- 26 Lowercase Letter Gold Coins
- 26 Capital Letter Gold Coins
What Else Is Needed:
- White Card Stock or Copy Paper
- Scissors
- Paper Bag or Cardboard Box
- Glue
To prepare this alphabet activity for your kids, fill out the form below.
Next, download and print the pot of gold and gold coins on white card stock or copy paper.
Next, laminate the pot of gold and gold coins, so your kids can use them over and over. Then, cut the pieces apart.
Finally, tape or glue the pot of gold on a paper bag or cardboard box (such as a small tissue box) and cut the mouth out.
How To Use The Pot of Gold Letter Recognition Activity:
To use this letter recognition activity, your preschoolers will pick a gold coin and identify the letter on it as they put it in the pot.
If your kids are just starting to learn the names of the letters, start with just a few gold coins. You can then add more letters as their letter knowledge increases.
When your preschoolers know all of the letter names, they can practice saying the sound that each letter makes.
