After printing the template, cut the continents out. If you are creating this craft with a group of children, you make want a few templates.
How To Make The Puffy Paint Earth Craft:
In a large bowl, whisk together glue and shaving cream until the ingredients are combined.
After mixing the shaving cream and glue together, separate the mixture into two small cups or bowls. Next, add a few drops of blue food coloring to one cup and gently stir to combine the ingredients. Then, add a few drops of green food coloring to the other cup and gently stir to mix the ingredients together. If you don’t have green food coloring, you can mix blue and yellow together to create green. (What a great lesson for kids!)
Next, trace the Earth template onto a paper plate. You can want to tape the template onto the paper plate so it is easier for young children to trace. If you don’t want to use the Earth template, your kids can draw the continents too.
After trace the Earth, use a paint brush to paint the continents green. Then, use another paint brush to paint the oceans.
To extend the activity, your kids can attach the paper plate to a piece of paper and label the parts of Earth including the continents, oceans, and poles.
This Puffy Paint Earth Craft is a fun and creative art project for kids to make in celebration of Earth Day or when learning about the parts of Earth.
