How to Use the Put Me in the Zoo Letter Find Activity:

Before beginning this activity, read the book, Put Me in the Zoo by Robert Lopshire to your preschoolers and kindergarteners.

After reading the story, your students will begin this letter recognition activity by selecting a spot card and identifying the capital letter on it.

Next, they will search for that letter on their worksheet.

Letter find

When your kids find the letter, they will dot it with a Do-a-Dot marker.

Your children will continue to pick cards and mark the letters on their worksheet until their animal is full of colorful spots like the character in the story.

Instead of using Do-a-Dot markers, your young learners can cover the letters with dot stickers, pom poms, or counters. They can also color in the circles with crayons.
