What Else Is Needed:
- White Card Stock
- Scissors
- Paper Bag or Cardboard Box
- Glue
To prepare this sight word activity, click on the button below and fill out the form.
Next, download and print the reindeer and carrot cards on white card stock.
Then, laminate all the pieces for the activities and cut them apart.
Finally, tape or glue the reindeer onto a paper bag or cardboard box and cut out the mouth.
How To Use The Reindeer Sight Word Activity:
For this sight word activity, your children will pick a carrot card. They will then read the word on it as they feed it to the reindeer.
If your kids have just begun learning sight words, start with just four or five cards. After they learn those words, you can add more carrot cards.
You can continue giving them a few sight word cards at a time until they have learned the whole set.
This way, your children will learn the words without getting overwhelmed and it will help them gain confidence in their reading ability.
If you have kids who know all these sight words, you can challenge them to use the words in sentences or put the words in alphabetical order.
