For this letter recognition activity, your children will first identify the lowercase letters and color words in the code.

If your pre-readers are just learning the color words, they can use a crayon to color over that word. This will help them as they color the picture.

Next, your kids will pick one of the letters and find it in the picture. They will use the code to correctly color the space.

If your students find a spot with the letter “z,” for example, they will color it yellow.
