Are you looking for an activity for your kids to do at the beginning of the new year?  Grab this free printable Back-to-School Cut and Paste Book!

With school literacy activities like this one, your preschoolers and kindergarteners can learn new school-themed vocabulary words.

As your kids create their book, they will learn concepts of print and build their beginning reading skills by reading the repetitive text too.

Step 1:

First, your kids will read the title “My School” and write their names on the cover. They can color the picture too.

Step 2:

Next, they will turn to the first page and read the repetitive text “This is my…” and identify the picture.

Step 3:

Then, your children will find the word that matches the picture on the paper, cut it out, and glue it on the page.

Step 4:

Your students will continue to cut and paste the words on each page until they complete their book.
