This Five Little Ducks Addition Activity is a hands-on way for kids to practice adding to 10 after reading the book, Five Little Ducks.

Hands-on learning is especially important in math. Kids can use counting manipulatives to visually see the addition problem.

Having manipulatives to touch as they solve the problem will help your children to count on to find the answer too.

Step 1:

First, your kids will roll a die and count the number of ducks from zero to five.

Step 2:

Next, they will count that number of ducks and put them on the pond.

Step 3:

Then, your children will write that number in the first box.

Step 4:

Next, your kids will roll the die again and count the number of ducks.

Step 5:

They will then count that number of ducks and place them on the pond.

Step 6:

After counting, your children will write the number in the second box.

Step 7:

Finally, they will add the 2 numbers and write the sum in the third box.
