Scarecrow Letter Recognition Activity
Your preschoolers and kindergarteners can use this fun, hands-on resource to practice naming capital and lowercase letters.
First, visit ABC's of Literacy to download the free printables. Then, print the resource.
Next, cut out the scarecrow and straw cards. Glue the scarecrow to a paper bag and cut out its mouth.
You can sort the cards into groups with a few in each and have your children work on one at a time.
Your kids will pick a card and say the name of the capital or lowercase letter on it as they feed the scarecrow.
If your children know the letter names, they can practice saying the sounds they make too.
