ABC's of Literacy

If you have a preschooler who is learning the ABC’s this spring, you’ll want this free printable Seed Packet Letter Recognition Activity!

Your kids will have fun as they fill the seed packet with seeds and practice naming the capital and lowercase letters.

Step 1:

First, visit ABC's of Literacy to download the free printables. Then, print the resource.

Step 2:

Next, cut out the packet and seeds. Glue the packet to a paper bag and cut out its mouth.

Step 3:

You can sort the cards into groups with a few in each and have your children work on one at a time.

Step 4:

Your kids will pick a seed and say the name of the capital or lowercase letter on it as they put it into the packet.

Step 5:

If your children know the letter names, they can practice saying the sounds they make too.
