To begin making the zebra puppet, your kids will cut large squares of white card stock or construction paper and glue them onto the paper bag. You want to glue the pieces on the side that the bottom flaps up.
After gluing the white square for the zebra’s head and body on the paper bag, your children will use scissors to trim off any excess paper from the sides.
Next, your kids will trace the leg and hoof template onto paper twice and cut them out. They can trace the leg on white paper and the hoof on black paper. They can also trace the leg on white paper and color the hoof black. Your children will then glue the legs and hooves onto the paper bag.

Next, your children will trace the ears onto paper twice and cut them out. They can trace the outside of the ear on white paper and the inside on pink paper. They can also trace the outside of the ear on white paper and color the inside pink. Your kids will then glue the ears onto the front of the paper bag.
After gluing on the ears, your kids will trace the mouth onto grey paper and glue onto the front of the paper bag. They can use a black marker to add detail to the mouth.
Then, your children will cut a strip of paper and glue onto the back of the paper bag for the zebra’s tail. They will then cut a small piece of black paper and glue onto the end of the tail. They can also cut small slits into it for extra detail.
