How to Use the Zoo Beginning Sounds Game:
To begin playing this beginning sounds game, your students will each select a Bingo card.
You may want to review the zoo animal pictures on the cards and their sounds before playing, so your children can practice identifying any unknown ones.
Next, the bingo caller will pick a calling card and say the letter on it.
Then, your kids will search for a picture on their bingo card that begins with that letter sound.
Some cards have more than one animal. The zoo animals for the letter Ee, for example, are eagle and elephant.
If they have the picture on their card, they will cover it with a marker.
The zoo animals are also pictured on the calling cards so your students can check to see if they are correct.
When your kids have marked 4 pictures in a row or their entire board, they can call out “Bingo!” They win the game!
