Umbrella Alphabet Clip Cards
This spring, your preschoolers and kindergartners can work on matching capital and lowercase letters with these Umbrella Alphabet Clip Cards.
This low-prep activity is not only a fun way for your students to work on learning the ABCs but it’s also great for developing their fine motor skills.

One of the first pre-reading skills that your kids need to learn is letter recognition. They need to be able to identify letters by their shapes and names.
Using themed activities like this one is a fun way for your pre-readers to practice these skills independently during morning tubs or literacy centers.

How to Use the Umbrella Letter Clip Cards:
For this letter recognition activity, your young learners will select a card and identify the capital letter on the umbrella.

Next they will look at the three lowercase letters on the raindrops and find the matching one.
Then, your preschoolers and kindergarteners will clip a clothespin on the card to cover the letter.

If you marked the answer on the back of the card, they can check to see if they clipped the clothespin on the correct spot.

If you don’t have clothespins, your kids can also cover the letters will small manipulatives such as mini erasers or flat glass marbles.
They will continue working through the other cards in the set, identifying and matching the letters.
These Umbrella Alphabet Clip Cards are a fun way for your students to work on letter recognition, fine motor skills, and much more!
