- White Card Stock or Copy Paper
- Laminator
- Laminating Pouches
- Scissors
- Magnetic Tape
- Cookie Sheet or Magnetic Board
To prepare this color words activity for your kids, fill out the form below to download and print the animal and letter cards.
Next, laminate the animal and letter cards and cut all of the pieces apart.
Then, make magnetic letters by attaching a piece of magnetic tape to the back of each letter card.
You may want to put pieces of the magnetic tape on the back of the animal cards too.
How To Use The Brown Bear Magnetic Letters Activity:
After reading the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr., your kids will pick an animal card, identify the color of it, and place the card on the cookie sheet.
They will then find the magnetic letter cards that spell the color of the animal and place the letters in order on the cookie sheet.
Your young learners will continue to practice reading and spelling all of the color words until they complete all nine animal cards.
