How To Use The Catch That Gingerbread Man Tracing Worksheets:
After reading the book The Gingerbread Man by Gail Yerrill, your preschoolers can retell the story and talk about the characters.
They can work on sequencing by saying the characters who chase the gingerbread man in order.
Then, your children will pick a worksheet and identify the character who is trying to catch the gingerbread man.

The characters include the old lady, old man, pig, cow, and horse.
There are two versions with the fox. One with the fox is chasing the gingerbread man and one with the gingerbread man running to the fox.
After selecting a printable, your pre-writers will trace over the line from the character to the gingerbread man with a bingo dauber or a writing utensil such as a pencil, marker, or paint pen.

If you have made this activity into a reusable one, your kids can trace over the line with a dry erase marker.

They can also cover the line with jingle bells, pom poms, mini erasers, or another small manipulative.
