Then, mix capital and lowercase letter marshmallows together and have them work on both. You can also have your kids practice letter sounds.

26 Capital Letter Marshmallows

What Else Is Needed:

White Card Stock or Copy Paper
Scissors
Paper Bag or Cardboard Box
Glue

Next, download and print the mug and marshmallows on white card stock.

Next, laminate mug and marshmallows so your kids can use them over and over. Then, cut the pieces apart.

Finally, tape or glue the mug on a paper bag or cardboard box (such as a small tissue box) and cut the top out.

How To Use The Hot Chocolate Letter Recognition Activity:

To use this letter recognition activity, your kids will pick a marshmallow and identify the letter on it as they put it into the mug.

If your children are just starting to learn the names of the letters, start with just a few marshmallows. You can then add a few more letters every time they play.

When your kids know all of the letter names, they can practice saying the sound that each letter makes as they put the marshmallows in the mug. It’s easy to differentiate this activity for your kids!
