This Melted Snowman Craft is the perfect activity for a cold and dreary day!
Once winter weather hits, I’m *kinda* already over it. Don’t get me wrong, I love the snow…but after a round or two of the white stuff, I’m fine if it’s done for the rest of the season. And honestly, if it snows too much, the kids start to feel the same way.
This is part of the reason why this Melted Snowman Craft is perfect! Not only does it allow you and your child to “play together and create” in the snow, but your hands can stay dry and warm as well!
This snowman craft also reminds me a bit of Olaf from Frozen when he’s talking about wanting to warm up near the fire…and that just brings a smile to my face. This craft can be a great way to learn about how snow changes into the water with the varying temperatures and then how it will change to ice as well. There are just so many great ways to add learning to fun crafting activities!
But do you know what is a must with this melted snowman craft? Anytime snow is used, at all, the end result has to be making a big giant cup of hot chocolate!

How To Make:
To begin making this snowman craft, glue 2 eyes on the white pom pom. Next, cut the orange pipe cleaner into small pieces for the carrot nose and glue it on the pom-pom. Then, use the black paint to paint 4 or 5 dots for the snowman’s mouth.
While the paint is drying, take the white felt and cut out odd shape circles that are about 3 or 4 inches for the melting snow. Then, cut small top hats out of the black felt.
After cutting the felt, glue the snowman’s head and hat towards the top of the white felt. Next, cut about 3-4 inches of red ribbon, fold in half, and glue at the top of the fold. Then, cut small “arms” off the tree branches and glue them to the melting snow.
Finally, glue on 3 buttons to the melted snowman.
Extend the Learning:
