- 26 Capital and Lowercase Letter Picnic Mats
What Else Is Needed:
- White Card Stock
- Laminator
- Laminating Sheets
- Dry Erase Marker
- Plastic Toy Ants (optional)
To get this letter formation activity ready for your kids, fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
After the resource is emailed to you, download and print the mats on white card stock.
Next, laminate the printables and cut the mats apart. (There are two per piece of paper.)
Instead of laminating the printables, you can also place the mats in dry erase pockets.
How to Use the Picnic Letter Recognition Activity:
For this letter formation activity, your kids will first select a mat and identify the capital and lowercase letters on it.
They will then use a dry erase marker to trace over the dotted lines and write the letters.
Your pre-writers can also work on forming the letters using small manipulatives such as plastic ants to go along with the picnic theme.
