After receiving the email with the printables, download and print the cards on white card stock.
Next, cut the cards apart. (There are two per page.) You may also want to laminate the cards so your kids can reuse this resource.
For this activity, your children will need to use both the full-size and mini craft sticks.
You can order either the colored or natural mini ones from Amazon or make your own.
To make your own set of mini craft sticks, cut the full-size ones in half. Then, sand the cut edge so it isn’t sharp or rough.
After preparing this activity for your pre-readers, store the cards and craft sticks in a resealable bag or box for a literacy activity that is easy to set up or take on the go.
How To Use The St. Patrick’s Day Building Letters Activity:
First, your preschoolers and kindergarteners will pick a card and identify the capital letter on it.
Next, they will use craft sticks to build the letter on the card.
If your kids are just starting to learn the ABC’s, have them start with just a few cards. You can then add more as their letter knowledge increases.
