He has loved using it to practice reading his sight words and I hope your kids will too.

What Else Is Needed:

To get this sight word activity ready for your kids, fill out the form at the bottom of this page.

Next, download and print the tooth and toothpaste cards on white card stock.

Dental Health Month Literacy Activity

Then, laminate and cut all the pieces apart. 

Finally, tape or glue the tooth onto a paper bag or cardboard box and cut out the mouth. 

How To Use The Tooth Sight Word Activity:

For this word activity, your kids will select a toothpaste card. They will then read the word on it as they put it in the tooth.

Word Work Activity

If your children have just begun learning sight words, start with just four or five cards. After they learn those words, you can add a few more.

You can continue adding more every time your students play until they have learned the whole set.

This will help your kids gain confidence in their reading ability without getting overwhelmed.  

If you have students who know all the sight words, you can challenge them to use the words in sentences or put them in the tooth in alphabetical order.
