How To Use The Yeti Letter Recognition Activity:
If you are using the capital or lowercase letter cards, your students will select a snowball and identify the capital or lowercase letter as they “feed” it to the yeti.

If your young learners are just starting to learn the names of the letters, start with just a few snowballs. You can then add a couple more every time they play.
With the picture cards, your kids will pick a snowball and say the picture’s beginning sound as they “feed’ it to the yeti. It’s easy to differentiate this activity!

For even more fun, add the snowballs to a sensory bin filled with cotton ball or shredded white paper.
After saying the letter name or sound, they will trace or write the letter on one of the four recording sheets.
Benefits of the Yeti Letter Recognition Activity:
Not only is this activity engaging but your students will also practice important literacy skills. Here are just a few of the benefits:
-
Fine Motor Development: Picking up and feeding the snowballs helps your kids develop their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
