After reading the book, your kids will create their hats. First, they will color the fish. Next, they will cut out the hat.

Then, staple a sentence strip or long piece of paper to one side of the hat.

Next, wrap it around your children’s heads to measure the length of the paper that you need.

After measuring, cut the strip of paper and staple the end to the other side of the hat.

Summer Literacy Activity

After your kids create their hats, they can write about what they want to do this summer on the “It’s O-Fish-Ally Summer” writing paper.

Your children can also draw and color a picture to go along with their writing.
