How To Use The 4th of July Alphabet Sensory Bin:

To use this letter recognition activity, your preschoolers will pick a star out of the sensory bin and identify the letter on it.

Letter Recognition Activity

If your children are just starting to learn the ABC’s, you can start with just a few capital or lowercase letters. As they learn, you can add more stars to the bin.

When your pre-readers know all of the capital or lowercase letters, you can mix them together. They can also practice identifying the letter sounds.

If you are using the lowercase or capital letter recording sheets, your kids will then color the letter they picked using dot markers or crayons.

If you are using the letter writing recording sheet with the blank circles, your children will write a letter on each one.

Are There Other Ways That I Can Use These Printables?

There are many different ways that you can use the printable stars! Your kids can play Memory by laying all of the stars upside down on a flat playing surface.

They will then flip two cards over at a time to find the matching capital and lowercase letters.

You can also hide the capital or lowercase stars around the house or yard. Your children will then pick a star and find its match that you have hidden.

This 4th of July Alphabet Sensory Bin is an entertaining activity for your preschoolers to do on Independence Day. It’s also a fun way for them to practice identifying capital and lowercase letters.
