Did you see the Capital Letter A Alligator Craft that we shared last week? Today, we are creating our Lowercase Letter a Apple Craft. It is a creative letter recognition activity and fun to make when learning the abc’s.
Letter a Apple Craft:
Not only is this letter craft a fun letter recognition activity, but creating projects like this can be a fun way for kids to develop their fine motor skills, hand and eye coordination, muscle strength, and much more. These developmental skills are important, because they will help children be able to hold a pencil, write, and even turn pages in a book. Crafting is not only fun but also a great way for kids to work on their listening comprehension and following multi-step directions.

To prepare to create this lowercase letter craft, click on the pencil below to automatically download and print either the black and white or color templates. I like to print my resources on white card stock because it is durable, but you can use copy paper too.
How To Make The Letter a Apple Craft:
If you are using the black and white templates, your preschoolers will color the lowercase letter red. They will then color the stem brown, the leaves green, and the seeds either brown or black.
Next, your kids will cut out the lowercase letter, leaves, stem, and seeds. For children who need help using scissors, you can have them practice cutting the letter (having extra copies is always helpful) and then cut out the other pieces for them.
If you want to use construction paper to create your craft, your kid can trace the templates on red, brown, green, and black paper and then cut all of the pieces out.
Then, your preschoolers will glue the stem and leaves to the top of the letter. Finally, they will glue the seeds inside of the letter.
This Letter a Apple Craft is a creative letter recognition activity for your preschoolers when learning all about the lowercase letter a. Cutting and gluing is also a great way for your kids to work on developing their fine motor skills, hand and eye coordination, finger muscle strength, and more!
