What Else Is Needed:
- Cardstock
- Laminator
- Laminating Sheets
- Dry Erase Markers
- Paper
- Pencils
- Small Manipulatives (optional)
- Play Dough (optional)
To prepare this activity for your preschoolers and kindergarteners, print the cards on white cardstock.
Next, laminate the cards and cut them apart.
Then, print the recording sheets that you want your students to use on paper and make as many copies as you need.
How to Use the Valentine Letter Formation Activity:
First, your preschoolers and kindergarteners will pick a card and identify the capital or lowercase letter.
Next, they will trace the letter using a dry erase marker.
Your students can also form the letter using small manipulatives such as mini erasers, buttons, or pom poms.
They can also use play dough to make the letter.
After tracing or forming the letter on the card, your young learners can trace or write the letter on the recording sheets.
